Tim Rice and Elton John's hugely successful stage adaptation of Disney's animated film has won six Tony Awards, been nominated for eight Olivier Awards, and is filling theatres the world over. Director Julie Taymor presents the tale of Simba, the young lion prince, and his battle with his uncle Scar in a modern and vibrant style, with fantastic costumes and superb use of giant puppets on stage.
