The panoramic setting of the championship, 18-hole golf course at the Hilton Mount Wolseley Country Club is truly magnificent, with views of Mount Leinster and the Blackstairs to the South and glimpses of the Wicklow Mountains to the East.
Mount Wolseley - Designed by Ryder Cup winner Christy O'Connor Jnr, is a championship course set on 7,198 yards of mature parkland. Natural free draining ground ensures good conditions all year round, and picturesque lakes filled with wildlife and fish enhance the scenic surroundings. Water comes into play on 11 holes on this par 72 layout. This is seen nowhere more so than on the course's signature hole, 11th measuring 207 yards from the championship tees, which requires an accurate shot across water to a two-tier green. The 18th hole is another fantastic hole, with a fairway lined with mature oak trees and a shot-up hill across a water hazard to a green overlooked by the gallery of the hotel.
